The Di icons
The styles our Bambalapitiya regulars keep coming back for.
“Cut it once, cut it right, and it will walk with you for years.”
Di Leather opened its doors in 1939 and has made genuine leather footwear on the same principles ever since — full-grain hides, hand lasting, stitched-and-cemented soles you can resole, and a finish you can see your face in. From parade boots for the armed forces to the school shoes that survive a whole year, the mark on the shield has meant one thing for eight decades: leather done properly.

Full-grain hides
The strong, breathable top layer of the hide — never a coated split.
Hand lasting
Every upper is pulled over a wooden last by hand so the shape holds for years.
Repairable soles
Stitched-and-cemented construction — a worn sole is a resole, not a bin.
A real finish
Toes burnished and creamed by hand until they hold a mirror shine.
New arrivals
The boots that serve the nation
Parade derbies, commando patterns, the Police Riding Boot — and the landmark Anti-Mine Boot, developed with the Engineering Regiment of the Sri Lanka Army and credited with saving thousands of lives. The military range is display & enquiry only.
